The Blak Angels Investment Network is a First Nations-led initiative aimed at promoting economic growth and empowerment within the First Nations communities. It brings together a delegation of 10 First Nations investors to fund early-stage and high-growth companies.
The primary objective of the network is to encourage more investment in First Nations businesses, thereby generating more job opportunities for First Nations people. The initiative also aims to enhance bilateral relations and investment between the U.S. and Australia.
The U.S. Consulate General Perth, Minderoo’s Generation One, and a group of First Nations investors from Australia have partnered to create this innovative initiative.
The Blak Angels will take a delegation of 10 First Nations investors to the U.S. to meet with and learn from Native American, Latino and African American investors in the U.S. investment ecosystem. There will also be a reciprocal visit from American investors to Australia.
First Nations businesses seeking investment from the Blak Angels should present a compelling business plan that aligns with the ethos and objectives of the Blak Angels Investment Network. More details on the application process will be provided soon.
